It was recommended to me to read the Gospel of John. I had some wild experiences which I'd like to share in hopes of getting some answers. So, to preface this, I've never had hallucinations, and the only "paranormal" experiences I've had were these three to be mentioned. I did have sleep paralysis a lot as a child, but it went away in adolescense. When I was in my early 20s, I was in a dark place mentally, living in an apartment complex alone. After a night of heavy drinking, I passed out on my apartment floor. I had a nightmare in which I was in a room with a black dog, and I was afraid of it. I was resting my head on it like a pillow, and if I tried to move away, it would start to growl at me. At some point, I realized I was dreaming, and I pushed the dog away. Immediately, I woke up, and before me there rose a shadow person from the floor. It had the outline of a person but was pitch black, with no discerning features. It moved towards me a step and moved a hand towards me, and then went away. I was paralyzed, by the way when I woke up and saw this. As soon as it vanished, I could move again. The second time, a few weeks later, I was sober. I was in bed, and woke up paralyzed again. This time, I couldn't see any entity because my head was down maybe, or to the side. I was on my stomach. This time, there was also a constant buzzing noise raising and lowering in pitch. I felt dread and terror. I then felt something crawl on top of me and rest on my back. It seemed to be draining me of energy or something. It felt like it was feeding on me somehow. After probably about 30 seconds of this it all went away and I could move again. I mostly dismissed all of this as being hallucinations due to sleep paralysis and a poor mental state at the time. (Very depressed) But now, a few months ago (I'm 32 now), I had a dream. In the dream there was a man I didn't know, who explained to me that "there is an organ in our body, which if strengthened by meditation can increase emotional connectivity to others." Something along those lines. I was taken to people who were practicing this meditation and chanting. The man told me that the people doing this practice were called "Nergal". He then even spelled out the name for me, as "N E R G A L". Like it was important that I know. Now, I'd never heard this name before in my life. Oh yeah, the creepy thing is that these practitioners, the chanting was like sludgifying them. Some of them had turned completely to sludge and were kept in like pans on shelves. Some of them weren't fully dissolved and had appendages sticking out from their respective blobs. Some of them were scared and panickedly saying "put me back! Put me back!" So next morning, I'm showering and suddenly remember the dream. When I got out of the shower, I immediately googled "Nergal" and found that it was the name of an ancient Mesopotamian deity. This spooked me. Any thoughts?
